Ayuntamiento Santo Domingo Este y entidades Patrióticas conmemoran 184 años de La Trinitaria
EL PRESIDENTE DE EFEMÉRIDES PATRIA LLAMA A SEGUIR EL EJEMPLO DEL ALCALDE MANUEL JIMÉNEZ EN PROMOCIÓN DE VALORES PATRIÓTICOS DESDE LOS MUNICIPIOS
El Ayuntamiento de Santo Este, la Comisión Permanente de Efemérides Patrias y el Instituto Duartiano conmemoraron juntos este sábado los 184 años de la fundación de la sociedad secreta La Trinitaria, e invitaron a todos los municipios a construir sus identidades alrededor de los valores patrióticos de Duarte y sus compañeros.
En un acto solemne celebrado en la remozada Plaza Juan Pablo Duarte, ante el busto más grande dedicado al Patricio, el presidente de Efemérides Patrias, Juan Pablo Uribe, llamó a todos los municipios a fortalecer sus identidades locales alrededor de la figura y el ejemplo de Duarte y los trinitarios, como lo hace el Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este desde que inició la gestión del alcalde Manuel Jiménez.
“Ojalá que la mayoría de nuestros ediles trillaran el mismo camino que está trillando Manuel Jiménez; estaríamos cimentando sobre una roca la dominicanidad”, dijo Uribe.
En nombre del Instituto Duartiano, Sócrates Suazo Ruiz explicó que Juan Pablo Duarte y algunos de los trinitarios caminaban por la zona que hoy es Santo Domingo Este, en el sector de Villa Duarte, porque el lado oriental del Rio Ozama fue la sede la primera capital del país.
“Yo celebro tanto a esos hombres y mujeres que nos acompañan en el siglo XXI, porque son continuidad del afán de Duarte, Sánchez y Mella”, dijo Ruiz, refiriéndose a los trabajos que desarrolla el Ayuntamiento para rescatar y mantener las plazas y monumentos que represetan los valores patrios.
El alcalde Manuel Jiménez agradeció el apoyo y la alianza de los entidades patrióticas, y se comprometió a extender junto al liderazgo comunitario todo el proceso de construcción de una identidad local vinculada a La Trinitaria.
El acto solemne estuvo dirigido por el Comunicador duartiano Michael Miguel Holguin, y contó con la presencia de la vicealcaldesa Ángela Henríquez, funcionarios del cabildo, regidores, el Cuerpo de Bomberos y la Armada de la República Dominicana.
En la tarde del sábado el Ayuntamiento, Efemérides y el Instituto Duartiano cierran la jornada conmemorativa con un acto artístico y cultural en el anfiteatro La Dramática, junto a cientos de presidentes de juntas de vecinos.
Con la Ofrenda Floral el cabildo, junto a las demás entidades patrióticas, el cabildo busca mantener vivo el legado de Juan Pablo Duarte y el grupo de jóvenes que el 16 de julio de 1838 se unieron para construir la organización base de la independencia de la República Dominicana.
