Santo Domingo. -El mayor general (r) José Miguel Soto Jiménez dictará una conferencia, este 28 de abril, sobre “Episodios trascendentes entre la Restauración de la República y la Guerra de abril “, dirigida a estudiantes del último año del bachillerato, que participaran en la VIII Gira Recreativa y Cultural, a Santo Domingo, patrocinada la Fundación Padrino de las Escuela de Bahoruco.
En conferencia del general Soto Jiménez, miembro de las Academias de la Lengua y de la Historia, se efectuará en el auditorio de la Biblioteca Nacional, a las 10 de la mañana, y participarán unos 300 estudiantes, acompañados de una representación de sus profesores y técnicos de los distritos educativos y de la Regional 18, de la Provincia Bahoruco.
Al dar la información, el ex diputado Rafael Méndez, presidente de la Fundación Padrino, informó que, además de la conferencia, el programa contempla la exhibición del documental “Abril: La trinchera del honor”, un paseo por el Metro y Teleférico, un recorrido por los museos de la Resistencia, de Historia Natural y una visita a los lugares histórico y de interés de la zona colonial.
