Llevo 24 hora llorando la amargura de que el hombre que amo y que nunca me correspondió es un asesino que no merece mi amor.
Ayer visité a mi primo César en su enorme mansión que compartía con su esposa Claudia, y entre conversaciones salió a relucir cuando ambos se conocieron en una nave que construía equipos electrónicos de la zona franca de San Isidro.
Mi primo César era un humilde operario que, a duras penas, había terminado el bachiller. Esa falta de conocimientos académicos la compensaba con su carácter amistoso, discreto, colaborador y evitaba los conflictos con los demás compañeros. Claudia era una joven que trabajaba en el departamento de calidad y estaba a punto de meterse en amores con David, un joven con un 8vo semestre de ingeniería que estaba a punto de ser ascendido a supervisor.
David había salido de su trabajo anterior porque supuestamente sus antiguos compañeros le hacían la vida imposible, eran envidiosos y hablaban a su espalda. Una tarde, el gerente le dijo, a modo de secreto, que se abriría una vacante para un ascenso el próximo mes, ya que iba a cancelar un supervisor. Inmediatamente, David, por su grado académico, sabía que iba a obtener la plaza. Además, le confesó a varios compañeros que él tenía un parentesco cercano con la esposa del gerente y que ella le había dicho que trabajara duro para ganarse el puesto.
David, de manera indiscreta, regó en toda la nave que iban a cancelar un supervisor y que él iba a sustituirlo. Pero mientras los días pasaban, David se quejaba con su futura novia de que trabajaba demasiado. Sin embargo, Claudia y todos los compañeros sabían que David era un bueno para nada y en cambio César llegaba siempre temprano, hacía su labor y luego ayudaba a sus compañeros a cumplir la meta.
César comenzó a tener acceso a información confidencial, como datos financieros, estrategias comerciales, información de clientes y otros secretos comerciales. Pero era más callado que una tumba y su manera de comportarse garantizaba que esta información no se divulgue a personas no autorizadas, lo que protege la seguridad y la competitividad de la empresa es la discreción de sus empleados..
Mientras César era un empleado colaborador, podía traer muchos beneficios tanto para sus compañeros como para la empresa, David actuaba de manera conflictiva y chismosa con un comportamiento que propiciaba un ambiente tóxico y negativo.
Cuando Claudia iba a continuar con la historia, llegó de la universidad el hijo de ella y César, la conversación se interrumpió, y Claudia comenzó a preparar una pizza casera en su horno.
Cuando estábamos comiendo la pizza, la pareja de esposos se agarró la mano frente a mí, y ella recordó el día que besó por primera vez besó a César. Fue en la fiesta de la empresa que se apartaron a un lugar solitario y ella por primera vez toco sus labios con los de César, quien temblaba de la emoción.
David, el joven más atractivo de la empresa, se incomodó y denunció ante el gerente que dos empleados se habían besado. El gerente le dijo que no iba a tomar represalia contra ninguno de esos dos empleados porque, aparte de trabajar en áreas diferentes, ellos se besaron en hora no laborable y fuera de la empresa.
Ante la insistencia de David, el gerente le dijo que Claudia era la mejor inspectora de calidad y además le enfatizó: «César se queda porque es muy diferente a ti». David, apoyado por la esposa del gerente, le dijo a su jefe: «¿Y cómo es él?».
El gerente, con gran satisfacción, esperaba ese momento para responderle la pregunta y con voz segura dijo: «César es un empleado colaborador que promueve una cultura de apoyo y trabajo en equipo, y con su sonrisa siempre ayuda a mantener un ambiente laboral agradable y positivo. No como otros que viven quejándose y viendo la falta ajena de los demás, que por estar con la mente desocupada siempre viven mirando la paja ajena de los demás.
La manera de César trabajar le va a ayudar a progresar y adquirir más conocimientos de diferentes personas a quienes les colabora. Además, César, por su manera de colaborar en diferentes áreas, tiene la oportunidad de aprender de sus compañeros, por eso cada vez se vuelve más imprescindible con las nuevas habilidades que está desarrollando.
Todo el mundo conoce a César por servicial y ser un empleado que con su colaboración ha fortalecido las relaciones entre colegas.
Ahora que me hablas de él me surge la idea de reconocerlo como empleado del mes y darle el puesto de supervisor con la salida de Javier, que se va mañana.
David se estremeció con esa noticia y le reclamó el eterno 8vo semestre de ingeniería que él tenía no podía ser subalterno de un simple bachiller.
Y en tono compasivo, el gerente le explicó: «Lamento mucho que no seas tú el elegido, pero un supervisor debe tener como eje la discreción, que es una columna fundamental para construir y mantener la confianza entre los empleados y la dirección. Cuando un supervisor es discreto, demuestra que es confiable y puede manejar la responsabilidad de proteger la información delicada. Tú, en cambio, voceas secretos de otros y haces preguntas inoportunas en medio del comedor de los empleados en voz alta.
Ese simple bachiller con su discreción me ha dado muestra de profesionalismo y madurez en esta empresa. Hijo, yo te quiero mucho y conozco a tu familia, pero te haría un daño ascendiéndote a ti, que por tu lengua descontrolada podrías traernos problemas legales si te permitimos manejar las informaciones de un supervisor. La revelación inapropiada de información privada puede tener consecuencias legales significativas para la empresa y para los empleados involucrados.
La discreción es una cualidad importante en el ámbito laboral y personal. Un empleado que no utiliza la discreción puede causar problemas tanto para sí mismo como para la empresa en la que trabaja. Aquí hay algunas consideraciones sobre un empleado que no utiliza la discreción.
David bajó la cabeza y por primera vez supo que su lengua había castigado su posibilidad de ascenso laboral.
El gerente le dio una palmadita y le dijo que aprendiera esa lección.
David no pudo resistir que Cesar fuera su jefe y renuncio, luego consiguió trabajo una tienda de Villa Consuelo donde narró que en la zona franca le hacían la vida imposible, pero al mes ya sus nuevos compañeros no lo soportaban, él era un tipo tóxico que comenzó a crear conflictos que disminuían la calidad del trabajo de todos, su manejo distraía a los demás empleados y terminó bajando la moral de aquellos que si trabajaban
Después de 8 meses sin trabajar encontró trabajo en una pizzería y a la semana mostraba su insatisfacción por el sueldo los horarios y una tarde le dijo a un cliente que la cocina de la pizza tenia ratones.
Una noche en que David deambulaba por las calles de su pueblo vio un amigo de infancia rodeado de una escolta de tumba polvos, después de algunos saludos supo que el amigo era diputado del partido de gobierno y al mes estaba empleado en Inapa, pero lamentablemente fue cancelado en menos de tres semanas.
David le explico al diputado que por culpa del compañero de trabajo lo desvincularon. Resulta que Carlos un empleado de muchos años en Inapa le tomó mucho cariño al joven y por ese afecto de Carlos provoco que le confiara a David que el pastor que dirigía el departamento de al lado usaba las empleadas para planchar el escritorio con la espalda y David de manera Inocente le contó a otros empleados que Carlos le dijo que el evangélico tenía relaciones sexuales con las colaboradoras.
Luego de esa última anécdota de David cambiamos de temas y pasamos horas tomando copas de vinos sin acordarnos de David, pero en el fondo de mi corazón quería saber de su vida presente, pero no me atrevía, temía que descubrieran que ese hombre indiscreto que nunca me tocó es aun mi amor platónico
Cuando me despedía de Cesar y Claudia le pregunté qué había pasado con David en estos últimos veinte años. Cesar tragó en secó, frunció el ceño – lo vi hoy afuera del car wash donde llevo semanal a lavar mi carro, me reconoció y me solicitó que hablara con el dueño para que le de empleo como lavador de auto y hablé con el dueño, le pidieron la certificación de no antecedentes penales, pero lamentablemente no podía conseguirlo, ya que hace una semana salió de la cárcel, porque hace 12 años le dio una paliza a su esposa tan fuerte que le dejó en coma hasta un mes después cuando la familia aceptó que la desconectaran.
En silencio me subí en el taxi y mientras el conductor cruzaba de manera temeraria semáforos en rojo para dejarme rápido y así tomar otro servicios mis ojos se llenaban de lágrimas, pensando en que soy virgen a los 42 años, esperando algún día casarme con el amor de mi vida, con un hombre vago e indiscreto que nunca me miró y que hoy descubrí que también es un abusador de mujeres.
Esa noche Claudia hizo el amor con su esposo Cesar de manera apasionada, recordando el momento más erótico de su vida y después de llegar al tercer cielo se dirigió a la habitación de su hijo y mientras lo miraba con amor recordó que David no era tan indiscreto, porque ese niño de 10 años fue concebido por un dulce pecado que ella cometió en una visita a la cárcel de la victoria donde David desato la furia de sus más bajas pasiones como un tren descarrilado que entre estasis y sudores ambos llegaron al paraíso como la explosión de un volcán apocalíptico y divinamente apasionado.
Esa noche David llegó a la calle de los trucos, colocó varios periódicos debajo de un árbol de javilla para dormir en la acera favorita, David a sus 42 años era un hombre sin hogar. Luego de acomodarse en medio de varios viciosos narró octavos día consecutivo la historia de su gran amor.
El día antes de la boda de su gran amor se encontró con ella en una plaza comercial y él le pidió hacerle su despedida de soltera, ella en silencio se montó junto a él en un taxi con destino a una cabaña llamada Andrómeda. Ambos jóvenes se comieron a besos salvajemente, fueron 4 minutos tan apasionados que no escucharon los toques en la pequeña puerta de servicios para entregarle toallas, pero ya habían terminado sin usar la cama. No hubo palabras, ni gemido, solo 4 minutos de sexo salvaje donde David nunca supo si ella llegó a un orgasmo. Luego de esa historia. Biberón el más joven de los viciosos que rodeaban a David, le pidió que narrara el encuentro en la cárcel que tuvo con la mujer.
Una tarde ella me visitó en la cárcel para decirme que su hijo de nueves años se parecía a mí, pero en realidad ella fue a la cárcel porque se había quedado con ese deseo de hacer el amor conmigo una segunda vez. Su marido estaba de viaje y ella disponía de más tiempo que el día de su despedida de soltera. De repente Lorena la come yerba gritó ¡Un hombre está lanzando dinero! Los viciosos dejaron solo a David en busca de cientos de billetes de 50 pesos que se esparcían a 20 metros del lugar donde David estaba paralizado. Los drogadictos recogían el dinero pensando en que cada billete representaba una piedra de crack
En medio de la confusión un hombre disfrazado de mendigo y con guantes en las manos le dio una estocada mortal a David en el estómago y cuidadosamente le puso el cuchillo en su mano. Diez minutos más tardes cuatros viciosos narraron a la policía la manera en que David se quitó se la vida. Los policías estaban acostumbrados a recoger por los menos una vez al mes un vicioso muerto, lo cual ya no era noticia ni para una paginita local de chismes y mucho menos materia de investigación de la policía.
Mientras recogían el cadáver de David para enterrarlo como un degenerado anónimo Cesar llegaba a su glamorosa mansión, se daba un delicioso baño caliente, con una fina bata de baño entró al bar de su casa, se sirvió un trago de whisky de una reserva de 18 años y mientras fumaba un puro de 50 dólares le daba gracias a Dios por haberle dado una mujer fiel y que aun siendo un hombre estéril lo había premiado con dos hijos.
Entró a su habitación y arropó a su esposa Claudia quien dormía plácidamente sin remordimiento ni culpas por sus dos dulces pecados, luego fue a la habitación de su dos hijos que dormían como sanjuaneros borrachos y por primera vez se sintió orgulloso por los pecados de su esposa y por primera vez en diez años durmió tranquilo porque esa noche quedaba enterrado el único secreto que todas las noches lo desvelaba.
