MMRD anuncia ganadores del «Concurso Estudiantil sobre la Libertad

El Museo Memorial de la Resistencia Dominicana anunció los ganadores del tercer “Concurso Estudiantil de Ensayo sobre la Libertad”, dirigido a estudiantes del nivel medio de la educación preuniversitaria.

La decisión del jurado fue anunciada en un acto realizado este viernes en el Auditorio Alma y Juan Vicini de la Institución, en ocasión de celebrarse este próximo lunes 30 de mayo el Día de la Libertad y el 61 aniversario del ajusticiamiento del dictador Rafael Leonidas Trujillo.

El jurado que seleccionó los ganadores estuvo integrado por el escritor y Premio Nacional de Literatura, Avelino Stanley, y Domingo Guerrero, quienes tomaron en cuenta los elementos implementados por los autores en sus ensayos, como es la libertad que debe tener cada individuo para su pleno desarrollo.

En el concurso participaron 34 trabajos presentados por estudiantes del Segundo Ciclo del Nivel Secundario (anteriores 1ro, 2do, 3ro y 4to de bachillerato) de centros públicos y privados de todo el país.

El primer lugar fue otorgado a la estudiante Grace Tejeda, del Colegio Escuela Nueva, por su trabajo ¿Qué es la libertad?; el segundo lo recibió Daniel E. Aquino, del Centro de Excelencia República de Colombia, por su trabajo titulado: “La libertad personal y colectiva”,  mientras que el tercer lugar le mereció a Daniela Castro Rodríguez, del Politécnico Calasanz San Eduardo, de La Romana. Los ganadores recibieron una laptop, para el primer lugar,  y una Tablet para el segundo y tercero.

Otros siete estudiantes tuvieron mención de honor. Todos los participantes recibieron pergamino de reconocimiento.

La iniciativa tiene como objetivo que los estudiantes puedan reflexionar sobre la realidad de los gobiernos tiránicos, los efectos de la opresión y los costosos procesos de la conquista de la libertad que otras generaciones han tenido que enfrentar.

Al hablar en el acto, la directora-fundadora del MMRD, Luisa De Peña Díaz, instó a los jóvenes a seguir cultivando el interés por recordar esos procesos, para evitar que se sigan replicando en el futuro.

Entiende que solo la juventud puede continuar luchando para seguir expandiendo los ideales de libertad de los que goza el pueblo dominicano, lo que dijo se logró en base a la sangre de muchos hombres y mujeres que nunca temieron para que hoy esa juventud pudiera andar en las calles sin temor.

“Y por eso este concurso es importante, es importante porque quiere llevarlos a ustedes a reflexionar más allá de los valores democráticos de los que nosotros disfrutamos hoy y del derecho a la libertad, debe llevarlos a reflexionar sobre la naturaleza humana y el derecho inalienables a ser libres”, reflexionó De Peña Díaz.

Mientras que Domingo Guerrero, jurando del concurso, al ofrecer sus palabras dijo que valoraron el esfuerzo que plasmaron los participantes para construir una nueva ciudadanía y ser mejores hombres y mujeres en el mañana.

“Y qué bueno que este espacio del Museo Memorial de la Resistencia les esté acompañando en ese proceso”, indicó.

La mesa central del acto estuvo integrada, además, por la presidenta de la Fundación Museo Memorial, Noris González, Javier Elena Morales y Carlos Jiménez, en representación del Ministerio de Educación.
