Expertos en antropología evolutiva aseguran que mujeres deben optar por tener más de una pareja para poder sentirse satisfechas y beneficiadas en su diario vivir.

Así lo arrojó un estudio realizado por Monique Borgerhoff Mulder y Cody T. Ross.

Según el periódico El Heraldo, en las investigaciones se compararon las conductas de animales con las de seres humanos en cuanto al distinto uso de la monogamia en ambas especies.

Agrega que luego de los análisis correspondientes, los expertos concluyeron que, para mejorar el bienestar de las mujeres, estas deberían que practicar la poligamia.

“Descubrimos que una pareja monógama, tenía más hijos cuando duraban mucho tiempo compartiendo juntos.¨

¨Sin embargo, logramos identificar que las personas que ejercen la poligamia tienden a tener menos hijos, e inclusive a no tener, por el respeto hacia los demás”, dicen los investigadores.

Además, los expertos recalcaron que esto beneficiaría mucho a las mujeres en cuanto al estímulo efectivo y que tendrían una mayor ayuda en el hogar.

También afirman que los hombres se esforzarían más en mantener satisfechas y cuidarían más a su pareja y que evitarían enfermarse ya que de hacerlo al otro hombre le correspondería satisfacer las necesidades de la mujer.

La poligamia es una de las formas de matrimonio existente en distintas sociedades. Consiste en la unión matrimonial de una persona con varias parejas.

Ésta puede ser de dos tipos: poliginia que es la unión de un hombre con dos o más  mujeres y poliandria que es la unión de una mujer con dos o más hombres.

Estos dos términos lo establece la Antropología del parentesco desde el estudio de diversas sociedades y culturas.

En la sociedad dominicana legalmente solo está permitida la monogamia, la poligamia está prohibida y se supone que “no debe existir.

Sin embargo, la poligamia es una vieja e histórica práctica social en la República Dominicana con predominio de la poliginia, un hombre con varias mujeres.
