Ayuntamiento dará plazo de 15 días a dealers para retirar vehículos de aceras, calles y espacios públicos

El alcalde de Santo Domingo Este, Manuel Jiménez,  informó a las asociaciones de dealers del municipio que el Ayuntamiento y la Dirección General de Seguridad de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (DIGESETT) procederán a desmontar todos los negocios de ventas de vehículos que ocupen calles, aceras, parques u otros espacios de la ciudad.

 

Durante un encuentro de socialización de las normativas municipales y nacionales que prohíben el uso de los espacios públicos para negocios particulares, Jiménez explicó que después de dar un plazo de 15 días se ejecutará un operativo que también  incluirá a los vehículos individuales que estén violentando la Ley 63-17 de Movilidad, Transporte Terrestre, Tránsito y Seguridad Vial.

Según la ficha de notificación entregada por el alcalde, los dealers y munícipes que estén violando la ley deberán cubrir los costos del servicio de grúa y además pagar una multa de 1 a 3 salarios mínimos.

 

“Estamos organizando la ciudad. Es un deber del Ayuntamiento recuperar las aceras, calles y espacios públicos, y es una responsabilidad de cada munícipe y empresario colaborar con el cumplimiento de la ley”, declaró el alcalde después de entregar personalmente a varios empresarios de la Asociación Nacional De Agencias Distribuidoras De Vehículos (ANADIVE) copia del modelo de notificación y de la Ley 63-17.

 

En la actividad el alcalde se hizo acompañar de la directora jurídica del Ayuntamiento, Belkis Estrella, y del director de Defensa de Espacios Públicos, Melvin Hiraldo, quien será el responsable de ejecutar el plan de rescate de aceras y calles de la ciudad junto a la DIGESETT.

 

En nombre de ANADIVE, César de los Santos saludó los planes de organización del alcalde y aseguró que la asociación dará todo su respaldo al proceso, además de ayudar a socializar la medida con otras asociaciones de vendedores de vehículos.

 

Una alternativa

 

El Ayuntamiento informó además a los dueños de dealers que está preparando una propuesta de espacio público regulado para que toda persona o empresa que desee exhibir y vender vehículos lo haga en dicho lugar sin violentar la ley ni afectar a la ciudad.

 

El proyecto está en fase de diseño y se están analizando varios lugares céntricos para escoger el que presenten mejores condiciones.
