Dosis de la vacuna Pfizer podrán ser aplicadas a menores solo en caso de si así es decidido por sus padres, informó esta tarde la vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña.

La vicepresidenta dijo que se podrían vacunar a menores de edad, de 12 años en adelante, solo si así lo deciden los padres.

La vicepresidenta hizo el anuncio al recibir 228 mil dosis de la vacuna Pfizer, el primer lote que llega al país de un contrato de 10 millones.

La vicepresidenta anunció que las inoculaciones con la nueva vacuna se comenzarán a colocar desde mañana sábado en Santiago y en Santo Domingo.

Dijo que nuevos cargamentos de la vacuna continuarán llegando al país en la medida en que las dosis que llegaron hoy se vayan aplicando.

Al acto de recibimiento de las vacunas asistió el encargado de negocios de la Embajada de los Estados Unidos, Robert Thomas y el ministro administrativo de la Presidencia, José Ignacio Paliza.
