Minera Belfond repara caminos y calles de Las Filipinas y Santa Elena

BARAHONA: Con una inversión de más de 4.2 millones de pesos la empresa minera Belfond Enterprise está reparando los caminos de acceso a las plantaciones agrícolas y las calles de Las Filipinas y Santa Elena, comunidades cercana a  la mina desde donde se extrae el Carbonato de Calcio.

La información fue dada a conocer  través del  gerente local Tim Davis quien informó que  en una reunión donde participaron  moradores de Las Filipinas encabezada Eduardo Ramírez, de la parte social comunitaria y Lino Gómez, de comunicaciones, los moradores solicitaron la reparación de sus calles y el camino da acceso desde el distrito municipal de Bahoruco hasta Las Filipinas.

También el director de la junta del distrito municipal de Bahoruco, Francisco Alberto Gómez, se había reunido con Ramírez para tratar el arreglo de los caminos antes mencionados y le entregó una comunicación de solicitud pidiendo la reparación del los mismos entre otras cosas que benefician al distrito la cual fue tramitada por ante los ejecutivos de la Empresa, dando los mismos respuesta positiva a las solicitudes.

Ramírez ha recibido un pliego de demandas de necesidades de las comunidades de Filipina, Mundito y Santa Elena, por lo que dijo que la mayoría  ya se están solucionando  ocasión  que aprovechó para decirlo en nombre de Belfond,

La empresa está oyendo las necesidades de las comunidades y trataremos de ayudarlas en todo lo que podamos, recordando que la empresa apenas ha empezado sus extracciones y desde la etapa de exploración siempre ha extendido la mano amiga a esas comunidades cercanas al proyecto, expresó Ramírez.

Con estas reparaciones de caminos que realiza Belfond, los productores de café y otros rubros agrícolas podrán sacar sus productos con facilidad para comercializarlos en los mercados.

Los moradores de Las Filipinas y Santa Elena están de júbilo, ya que por décadas esperaban estos arreglos.

Recordar que la empresa realizó una inversión inicial de cerca de 4.5 millones de dólares, alrededor de 250 millones de pesos, para la reparación de la carretera desde el chequeo de la entrada de Santa Elena hasta la mina de Larimar.

Después de dicho arreglo las propiedades de la zona han tomado un importante giro en su valor de mercado por tener una vía de acceso expedita.

Belfond anunció que en aproximadamente 2 Semanas comenzara los arreglos de las calles de la comunidad de Mundito.
