Ayuntamiento Santo Domingo Este inicia colaboración cultural con Santiago de Cuba
EL ALCALDE MANUEL JIMÉNEZ FIRMÓ UNA CARTA DE INTENCIÓN CON EL GOBIERNO LOCAL DE LA CIUDAD CUBANA
Santiago, Cuba.- El Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este y la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba trabajarán de manera mancomunada en el desarrollo de programas de capacitación artística, promoción cultural y otras áreas de interés común.
El acuerdo quedó establecido en una carta de intención firmada por el alcalde del municipio dominicano, Manuel Jiménez, y la presidenta de la Asamblea Municipal del Poder Popular Santiago de Cuba, Yaneydis Hechavarría Batista, quienes acordaron ampliar las relaciones de cooperación entre ambas ciudades.
Santiago de Cuba y Santo Domingo Este son reconocidas como Ciudades Creativas de la Música por la UNESCO.
Los programas de capacitación estarán enfocados en las áreas de salud, el comercio, la ciencia, la cultura, el turismo, medio ambiente y otras que ayudarán a fortalecer las competencias formativas entre los beneficiados.
“Deseosos en contribuir al desarrollo de las relaciones de afecto que unen a la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba y la ciudad de Santo Domingo Este, ambas partes desean establecer relaciones de cooperación en diversas formas”, indica uno de los acápites de la carta de intención.
El alcalde de Santo Domingo Este viajó a Cuba a una jornada de trabajo en la que concretó proyectos de colaboración en materia cultural entre el municipio dominicano y las ciudades cubanas de La Habana y Santiago.
Le acompañaron la secretaria general del cabildo, Jehimy Núñez; el asistente general Yancarlos Simanca Ferreras, el regidor Wander García, y el director de Comunicaciones, Jhonatan Liriano.
