Los  candidatos a diputado  deben  comprender que estamos en el siglo XXI, donde la juventud no sigue una ideología ni tiene compromisos sociales arraigados. En los barrios, los adultos mayores priorizan su supervivencia, y la pobreza extrema no es obstáculo para poseer un celular. En esta era, el individualismo y el deseo de recursos fáciles dominan la sociedad.

El candidato a diputado debe entender que estamos en la era de alofoke donde todos te dicen que sí y quizá ninguno vote por ti. Dónde una mujer, enemiga de todos los vecinos, llega a un  comando de campaña y alguien  la presenta como la gran líder que mueve muchas personas, aunque nunca ha hecho un favor a nadie. Se involucran totalmente en los comandos, salen en muchas fotos y el día de las elecciones los votos no aparecen. Cuando al candidato le  presenten a una supuesta líder,  debe investigar los favores o servicios que ha realizado por su comunidad, así como las cualidades que la convierten en líder. Hay mujeres que, por ser hermosas, simpáticas o jefa  en una familia extensa, tienen seguidores, hasta mirando los perfiles de las redes sociales de una persona podemos tener una idea de si aporta o no a la campaña.

Lo primero que debe hacer el candidato es conocer el posicionamiento de su partido, considerando encuestas o votaciones recientes. Debe prepararse para el peor escenario, comprendiendo cómo funciona el método de Hondt. También debe considerar si su partido está en el gobierno, en la oposición o si es una fuerza opositora que ha permanecido mucho tiempo en el poder.

Es muy importante  que el candidato identifique sus debilidades y fortalezas para utilizar esa información como herramienta de crecimiento al menor costo posible. No es necesario gastar una fortuna en encuestas; realizar al menos tres estudios con grupos focales de diferentes barrios de su demarcación política puede brindar valiosa información.

Tomemos como ejemplo que el candidato es de la circunscripción 2 de Santo Domingo Este, que cuenta con solo 4 escaños. Si el partido del candidato está en el poder y tiene altas probabilidades de mantenerse, debe asegurarse de ser el candidato más votado dentro de su organización para garantizar su elección como diputado.

Si el candidato es de un partido de oposición que estuvo en el gobierno durante muchos años, enfrentará el desafío de las expectativas de gasto similares a cuando estaban en el poder. En este caso, la creatividad es fundamental para llevar a cabo una campaña política eficiente con un presupuesto limitado.

En el siglo XXI, las grandes concentraciones y marchas no suman votos, sino que representan gastos innecesarios tanto para el candidato como para los militantes. Es esencial motivar a los votantes de manera efectiva, entendiendo sus necesidades y prioridades.

El candidato debe enfocarse en actividades que generen un impacto real en la comunidad. Por ejemplo, en lugar de grandes marchas, se pueden realizar actividades más efectivas, como manos a manos , que permitan un contacto directo con los votantes.

El secreto del candidato que desea ganar es utilizar su mejor herramienta. Se pueden tomar ejemplos de campañas creativas exitosas, como la de Manuel Jiménez en 2002 , quien usó su canción derroche para ir con una guitarra en cada barrio y Rafael Castillo en 2020, quien supo adaptarse a las circunstancias y destacar con estrategias innovadoras, al principio llevó con una pantalla sus propuestas a cada rincón de su demarcación y cuando la pandemia le impidió reunirse mantuvo el contacto a través de las fumigaciones.

En términos de organización, es fundamental que los equipos de los candidatos dediquen tiempo al registro de simpatizantes y a la creación de redes de mensajes para fidelizar votantes. El candidato debe aprovechar al máximo sus fortalezas y abordar los temas de la agenda nacional de manera efectiva para permanecer en la mente del votante.

El candidato que sabe comunicar sus ideas debe usar esa herramienta  en cada oportunidad. Actualmente creo que el candidato de la oposición que está más activo en los medios levantándole la moral a su partido  es Luis Henríquez, quien supuestamente es el de más alto rechazo, pero en mi opinión que puedo estar equivocado, debe ser el más votado de su partido en su circunscripción.

En conclusión, un candidato a diputado debe estar bien informado sobre la situación del país, su partido y su comunidad, así como entender la evolución del pensamiento de la gente. También debe conocerse a sí mismo y utilizar sus mejores herramientas de manera óptima, además de saber escuchar y rodearse de personas que puedan expresar sus desacuerdos en algunos temas de la campaña.
