Joven empresario pondera aspirar a la Diputación de Ultramar

El joven empresario y politólogo, Lic. Edward Cruz, analiza la posibilidad de aspirar a una de las dos candidaturas a diputados que serán elegidas en el mes de octubre a lo interno del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM).
Cruz es egresado de la Universidad Internacional de la Florida, con una licenciatura en Administración de Empresas Internacional y un Técnico en Relaciones Internacionales. También tiene una maestría en Bienes Raíces Internacionales, además de ostentar varias licencias profesionales en el Estado de la Florida.
A nivel personal se dedica a la administración de su empresa Multiservicios, la cual abarca una amplia gama de servicios que van desde la consultoría de negocios, inversiones y consultoría política, así como consultoría para emprendedores, valet parking, agencia de envíos de mudanzas, entre otras cosas.
También, es presidente de la Fundación Milagros Internacional, enfocada en la ayuda a los niños, los envejecientes y a la lucha contra la violencia de género, desde el 2017. A nivel político, fue el presidente de la Juventud Revolucionaria Dominicana (JRD), en la ciudad de Miami, del 2008 al 2012, Fundador del PRM en la Ciudad de Miami y primer presidente electo del Partido Revolucionario Moderno, en la misma ciudad. Actualmente es el secretario general de la Circunscripción 2 del exterior. Ideólogo y estratega principal de la campaña del hoy Presidente Luis Abinader, en esa demarcación. Ha coordinado 5 campañas políticas en diferentes niveles, saliendo exitoso en cada una de ellas.
En la actualidad, funge como Gestor Comercial y Cultural de PRODOMINICANA (Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la Republica Dominicana), donde está encargado de promover la cultura dominicana en el exterior, para atraer nuevas oportunidades a nuestro país, a la vez que busca coyunturas y nuevos mercados para los productos y servicios dominicanos en el extranjero.
Durante una breve entrevista que le hicimos, el estratega político nos expresó que aún no decide si aspirará o no, debido a la cantidad de variables que existen en estos momentos alrededor de esas candidaturas, como por ejemplo, que no se ha decidido aún las modalidades de elección para Ultramar o si se reservarán las posiciones, pero informó que más importante es que previo a formalizar unas aspiraciones, quiere consultar a los miembros de la diáspora en la circunscripción 2, para recoger el sentimiento de los ciudadanos respecto a qué esperan de un candidato a diputado.
El joven licenciado considera que la comunidad de dominicanos en el exterior necesita de un representante que gestione verdaderamente a favor de quienes aportan más de un 10 % del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) a la economía del país.
No obstante, indicó que los dominicanos son más que remesas y definitivamente son más que un voto en el exterior, agregó que son una fuerza laboral, intelectual y social que aporta a la difusión de nuestra cultura internacionalmente y son propulsores principales del auge en materia de turismo que ha tenido nuestro país.
Dijo que la comunidad dominicana necesita representantes con nuevas visiones, con una manera diferente de hacer política, una manera incluyente sin importar género y en especial sin importar la inclinación política de los votantes, ya que todos son parte de la diáspora y quien sea electo debe hacer gestión a favor de todos y no solo del partido a quien representa.
Con más de 30 años viviendo en el exterior, el Lic. Cruz considera que hasta ahora se ha obviado hacer acercamientos puntuales con autoridades locales en las diferentes demarcaciones del exterior que ayuden a fomentar facilidades de empleos, educación y oportunidades de negocios para ayudar a mejorar la calidad de vida de los dominicanos en la diáspora.
Durante la entrevista expresó que “Sabemos que de tomar la decisión de aspirar, tenemos buenas posibilidades, pero es una decisión que debe ser consultada con nuestro equipo político, con nuestro círculo de amigos y familiares y ante todo ponerlo en manos de Dios, que es quien tiene la última decisión; sea cual sea la decisión, hemos reiterado en diversas ocasiones con respecto a la política que venimos a llenar un vacío y no a ocupar un espacio, y de tal manera seguiremos accionando”.
Consideramos que de decidir participar en la contienda electoral que se avecina, el joven político es muy bien valorado por los moradores de la circunscripción número 2 del exterior y marca muy bien en las encuestas, por lo cual puede salir victorioso del certamen.
Además, al poseer un currículum tan amplio y lleno de experiencias en diversos aspectos de sus profesiones, le da mayor fuerza a su candidatura para favorecer no sólo a quienes voten por él, en caso que se decida, sino también que trabajaría a favor de su comunidad y, por ende, del país.
Interpretamos que, por sus cualidades, el joven empresario se constituye en un potencial diputado de Ultramar.
