Falleció la mañana de este domingo la señora Yojani Marte, esposa del alcalde del municipio de El Valle, provincia Hato Mayor, tras permanecer hospitalizada desde el pasado lunes, por las quemaduras que sufrió al explotar un cilindro de gas en su vivienda
La dama murió en la Unidad de Quemados del hospital Ney Arias Lora, en Santo Domingo, donde continúa recluido su esposo, el alcalde José Peguero, también por quemaduras e inhalación de humo.
Mientras que un hijo de la pareja, de 5 años, se mantiene con pronóstico reservado en el hospital Arturo Grullón de Santiago de los Caballeros.
El hecho se produjo la noche del pasado lunes, cuando la pareja sintió un fuerte olor a gas y el edil se levantó a buscar el escape. Se informó que encendió un bombillo y fue el detonante de la explosión.
Los familiares de la señora Yojani hacen los tramites de lugar para llevar su cadáver al municipio de El Valle, al este de la República Dominicana.
