La Junta Central Electoral (JCE) emitió un memorando dirigido al jefe de la Policía Militar Electoral, estableciendo una serie de parámetros para las elecciones del próximo domingo 19 de mayo.

Con 25 puntos a cumplir, la junta pide a la policía militar no retener celulares a los ciudadanos que vayan a ejercer el voto, pero no permitirles “hacer fotos, grabar ni hacerse selfies dentro de los colegios electorales ni fotografiar las boletas ni el voto”.

Además, se especifica que no se debe impedir el acceso a los recintos electorales a las personas por razones de vestimenta, salvo en caso de propaganda política que promueva algún candidato o partido político.

El acceso de los electores al recinto debe permitirse a partir de las 7:00 de la mañana, aunque no estén abiertos todos los colegios electorales que funcionan dentro del recinto.

Las filas deben formarse dentro del recinto electoral, en la puerta de cada colegio electoral, y no pueden organizarse fuera del recinto electoral, a menos que el espacio físico lo impida.

La JCE también llama a dar acceso a toda la prensa nacional e internacional acreditada por la Junta Central Electoral o identificada como prensa o medio de comunicación.

Asimismo, se debe mantener despejada de vehículos de todo tipo las entradas y el perímetro delimitado del frente de cada recinto electoral, para permitir que la ciudadanía pueda acudir sin obstáculos a ejercer su derecho al voto.

La JCE prohíbe el proselitismo político cerca de los recintos electorales, incluyendo el uso de gorras, gafetes o cualquier elemento de promoción política en el perímetro delimitado por la cinta de seguridad frente al recinto electoral, dentro del recinto y el colegio.

También se impide la instalación de carpas y mesas con fines de gestión política, promoción o campaña electoral en el perímetro del recinto electoral o dentro de estos, excepto las carpas de la JCE.

Se prohíbe el uso de armas de fuego y se invita cordialmente a las personas que hayan votado a abandonar el recinto una vez que hayan ejercido su derecho al voto.

Finalmente, se permite la grabación del proceso de escrutinio a partir de las 5:00 de la tarde después del cierre de la votación, garantizando la cadena de custodia de los equipos y materiales electorales.
