EL CONCORDATO
El Concordato es un tratado firmado el 16 de junio de 1954 entre el Estado dominicano representado por Rafael Leónidas Molina y la Santa Sede representada por el cardenal Doménico Tardi Secretario de Estado del Vaticano, durante el papado de Pio X l l, el mismo es una aberración que se mantiene vigente, el cuál le da numerosos privilegios a la iglesia católica. El mismo inicia así: “En el nombre de la Santísima Trinidad”
El Concordato establece las normas que han de regular las recíprocas relaciones entre de la iglesia y el Estado dominicano, declara La Religión Católica, Apostólica, Romana como religión oficial de Rep. Dom. Se acuerda la designación de embajadores y el gobierno se compromete a construir iglesias y que los sacerdotes no podrán ser interrogados por jueces u otras autoridades dominicanas.
El Estado tendrá como festivos los siguientes días. El comentario que esta entre paréntesis es mío

15 de agosto día de Asunción (Es el día que la Virgen María subió al cielo en cuerpo y alma)
24 de septiembre Ntra. Sra. de las Mercedes (Celebración de la matanza de indios que hizo Cristóbal Colón en la Vega durante su segundo viaje).
1ro de noviembre día de todos los santos.
2 de noviembre día de los muertos.
8 de diciembre día de Inmaculada Concepción (Se estableció ese día celebra que María la madre de Jesús, no tuvo relaciones sexuales con ningún hombre y siempre fue virgen),
25 de diciembre nacimiento de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. (Esa fecha es un inventó no se conoce el día y mes del nacimiento de Jesús)
