Esta masiva juramentación fue coordinada por el secretario general de la V República, el ingeniero Freddy Núñez, y el secretario de organización Neydo Rosario en Cancela, La Ureña del municipio de Santo Domingo Este.
Entre los nuevos miembros del movimiento V República se destaca el reconocido dirigente comunitario Daniel Alcántara, quien, junto a un grupo de jóvenes profesionales, estudiantes y representantes de todos los sectores de la nación, juraron defender los ideales del movimiento liderado por el ex general Soto Jiménez.
El movimiento V República apoya la candidatura presidencial del líder de la oposición y ex presidente Leonel Fernández, cuyos gobiernos se caracterizaron por baja inflación, alto crecimiento económico, disminución del desempleo, un agresivo programa de construcción y, sobre todo, la creación de una nueva clase media.
