Alcalde Manuel Jiménez develiza busto y plazoleta dedicados al profesor Juan Bosch en Santo Domingo Este

Santo Domingo Este, RD.- El alcalde Manuel Jiménez develizó este viernes un busto monumental dedicado por el Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este al profesor Juan Bosch, en el marco de un acto conmemorativo del 114 aniversario del natalicio del insigne literato y líder político dominicano.

Acompañado de importantes figuras de la política, la literatura y familiares del profesor, el alcalde Manuel Jiménez también dejó debidamente identificado el punto de inicio de la Avenida Ecológica Profesor Juan Bosch, la cual permanecía sin señalizar desde que fue designada con este nombre mediante resolución municipal del 2010 (hace trece años).

El busto y la plazoleta se integran al Paseo de la Historia que la gestión del alcalde Manuel Jiménez está construyendo en las inmediaciones de las avenidas Coronel Rafael Fernández Domínguez y Profesor Juan Bosch, y donde ya se levanta una estatua monumental de Peña Gómez, y se prepara la inauguración de un monumento a Fernández Domínguez, el Tanque de la Revolución de Abril del 65, a Manolo Tavares Justo y el presidente panameño Omar Torrijos, entre otros.

“El natalicio de Juan Bosch y el día del maestro coinciden el 30 de junio; grata coincidencia, ya que Bosch es el más insigne maestro de literatura y política del siglo XX en RD; hoy en Santo Domingo Este le rendimos el honor que se merece”, dijo Manuel Jiménez.

“Esta gestión está destinada al mayor de los éxitos, porque donde se trabaja con amor, sin esperar nada a cambio, las cosas tienen que salir bien y así las personas lo recordarán”, dijo por su parte Matías Bosch, nieto de Juan Bosch.
