ARMADA RESCATA TRES PERSONAS DE NACIONALIDAD JAMAIQUINA AL QUEDAR VELERO A LA DERIVA
La Armada de República Dominicana (ARD) informó que este domingo 15 de enero procedió a rescatar un velero al suroeste de isla Saona, remolcándolo a puerto seguro.
Se trata del velero color blanco de nombre “Runaway», matrícula JPM20007, de 7.9 metros de eslora y 2.89 metros de manga, que llevaba a bordo 03 personas de nacionalidad jamaiquina.
El “Runaway» se encontraban a la deriva próximo a la isla Saona debido a fallas en el timón y fue remolcado, sin problemas mayores por la Unidad de Superficie de la ARD hasta el muelle de Juanillo.
En relación a los tripulantes están en perfecto estado de salud.
La institución naval reitera su compromiso de ir en auxilio de cualquier embarcación que presente problemas en aguas nacionales, para preservar la vida de sus ocupantes.
