Imcompetencia Gubernamental: un Desastre que pudo ser Evitado

Los hechos indican que el nivel de alerta por el disturbio tropical fue tímido y que la negligencia y la falta de preparación por parte de las autoridades quedaron totalmente evidenciadas. Fue tan tímido que el director del COE dijo que iba para una boda en medio del estado de alerta de casi 30 provincias del país, minimizando de manera poco responsable el peligro del fenómeno tropical. Si el propio director del Comité de Emergencia, que de los 365 días del año solo trabaja los 20 o 25 días en que hay alerta de fenómenos tropicales, decide irse a una boda, lo normal es que el resto de los ciudadanos se sintiera confiado de que no había ningún peligro.

Lo que sucedió en la capital evidenció que el presidente de la República y los funcionarios del gobierno están más pensando en la reelección que en la protección de los ciudadanos. A 23 años de iniciar el siglo XXI con todos los adelantos de la ciencia, resulta increíble y sospechoso que este gobierno incompetente no haya previsto los niveles de lluvias que iban a azotar la República Dominicana y, en especial, el Gran Santo Domingo.

La tragedia del mini túnel de la Gómez con 27 nunca debió suceder, porque hace aproximadamente 8 meses varias voces habían advertido de grietas y problemas por falta de mantenimiento que podían hacer que la estructura pudiera colapsar, ya que una obra de más de 20 años y sobreusada ameritaba atención de las autoridades.

Si hubo falta en obra pública por no darle mantenimiento a una obra tan importante por donde cruzan diariamente cientos de miles de dominicanos, peor fue el presidente que no declaró el día sábado como no laborable a partir del mediodía.

La sociedad, a partir de hoy, debe estar vigilante con el dispendio de recursos reeleccionistas amparados en un plan de emergencia que pudieran dilapidar de manera clientelar.

No creo que fue una negligencia provocada a propósito con fines de provocar un estado de emergencia que le permita gastar dinero a manos llenas; lo más probable es que haya sido un error del gobierno, pero en caso de ser la segunda opción se eveidencia una mayúscula muestra de incapacidad para gobernar y , el pueblo debe sacarlo del poder el próximo 16 de mayo del 2024. Pero si fue algo planificado, entonces debe hacérsele un juicio político, sacarlo del poder y luego someterlo a la justicia. Sea lo que sea, esta gente es un peligro para el país y si queremos rescatar la patria, todos los dominicanos debemos unirnos y sacarlos hoy de una vez y para siempre.
