Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este inicia ciclo de talleres con enfoque de género

El Ayuntamiento de Santo Domingo Este (ASDE), a través de la Vice alcaldía, realizó conferencia: “Gestión Democrática con Enfoque de Género, Cambio Climático y Gestión de Riesgo”, a cargo del ingeniero Domingo Matías Hernández, viceministro de Ordenamiento Territorial y Desarrollo Regional l (VIOTDR), del Ministerio de Economía, Planificación y Desarrollo (MEPYD). Con el evento se dio inicio al ciclo de talleres que realiza la institución para capacitar a líderes comunitarios sobre enfoque de género.
El alcalde Manuel Jiménez y la vicealcaldesa Ángela Henríquez, encabezaron la actividad realizada en el salón de eventos del Palacio Municipal, acompañados de la presidenta del Centro de Solidaridad para el Desarrollo de la Mujer (CE-MUJER), Nelly Chalas.
Jiménez, al pronunciar las palabras centrales del evento, dijo que desde que llegó a la Alcaldía “una de las tareas más importante ha sido calibrar nuestro recurso humano con la coyuntura y las necesidades del desarrollo de nuestro país, como lo vemos, un desarrollo humano e integral, que encuentre entonces en nuestro personal para ponerlos a disposición”.
Agregó que “ya lo hemos hecho con el tema de la inclusión de la mujer en nuestra gestión, ya Santo Domingo Este está reconocido con el sello de Igualando RD, que nos pone dentro de poquísimas instituciones en el país y poquísimos ayuntamientos en el mundo a la altura de estos tiempos en cuanto a la inclusión de la participación de la mujer en todos los estándares de la gestión de nuestro Ayuntamiento”.
Añadió que el tema de la inclusión de la discapacidad en el cabildo, también lo puso a prueba y hoy “somos una de las poquísimas instituciones que le dan fiel cumplimiento a la ley de inclusión de personas con capacidades diferentes, como también puede decirse”.
Jiménez dijo que con la jornada se da inicio a lo que cada munícipe debe tener claro para que Santo Domingo Este siga siendo una ciudad puntera en esos aspectos, que se pueda decir que muchos ayuntamientos le dan la importancia que tiene, “nosotros lo vemos como lo más importante”.
Manifestó que el tema medioambiental, el tema climático es fundamental, y que fuimos la primera ciudad y la única del país, del pocas del mundo, que participaron en el encuentro de la Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo Industrial en los ayuntamientos, desde un enfoque medioambiental y con perspectiva a un compromiso serio con la reducción con los efectos del cambio climático y concluyó con que “todo tiene solución, solo hay que tener absoluta determinación para resolver los problemas y no dar ni un pasa atrás, si Dios lo permite”.
En tanto, la vicealcaldesa Henríquez, al dar la bienvenida, dijo que es importante que se encuentren en ese salón y agradeció a todas las direcciones del cabildo presentes, ya que –dijo- que las mencionó para poder tener una idea y una apreciación de la importancia que como Alcaldía, “damos a lo que es la capacitación y la formación continuada, no solamente de nuestros funcionarios y funcionarias, sino también de todo nuestro personal, desde el más encumbrado hasta los que ocupan los cargos operativos”.
Agregó que de ahí va a depender en mucho, no solo la visión con que trabajemos, sino la eficiencia y el desempeño en torno a lo que son nuestras responsabilidades que nos hemos comprometido con el municipio y dijo “qué bueno que hoy estemos dando apertura con esta conferencia magistral, a cargo de nuestro querido amigo Domingo Matías, acerca de temas tan importantes como es el cambio climático, como es género, municipalidad y todos los asuntos que en ello se envuelve.
