Señor Presidente; devuélvanos el agua, devuélvanos la vida

Estimado señor presidente,
Con todo respeto y consideración hacia su investidura como presidente de la República, me dirijo a usted en esta ocasión para implorarle que demande a sus funcionarios que muestren compasión hacia el barrio de Los Tres Brazos, un sector que carece de todo. La situación eléctrica es un desastre, los jóvenes carecen de oportunidades recreativas y, a pesar de tener una población mayor que cinco provincias del país, no contamos con un hospital. Sin embargo, la urgencia de mi llamado se centra en el tema del agua.
Señor presidente, el agua tarda semanas en llegar a los principales barrios de esta comunidad y, cuando finalmente llega, se suma a las numerosas necesidades que tenemos como sector necesitado. En los últimos dos años, hemos enfrentado una terrible escasez de agua que nos ha llevado al borde de la desesperación.
Cuando el agua finalmente llega, se pierden miles de galones debido a averías en la calle Caamaño, cerca de la banca deportiva del sector. Es lamentable ver a las amas de casa caminando más de un kilómetro en busca de una cubeta de agua. Además, en la avenida Venezuela, en la parte conocida como «el badén de hierro», cuando el agua llega, se produce un derramamiento que provoca una inundación similar a una Venecia empobrecida.
Señor presidente, desde El Manguito, Los Cocos, Los Guineos, El Alto de Lito, El Alto de Reina y otros sectores de Los Tres Brazos, le suplicamos que nos devuelva el agua. El calor y la falta de agua nos están llevando a un estado de desesperación tan profundo que sentimos que, al privarnos del agua, nos están arrebatando la vida misma.
Señor presidente, le ruego que nos devuelva el agua, ya que esto equivaldría a devolvernos la vida misma.
